This storyline is a parallel storyline to The Excursion of the ultimate Problem Revisited, and both tales are based upon the same idea. In the initial storyline of The Final Problem, the fantastic detective and the wicked teacher meet just the one time, and double throughout that one account. Yet the great detective is resurrected years later while the professor is simply forgotten, in all of our pleasure to get our detective delivered to us, once again. A possibly true account of the storyline about the fatality of the teacher in the initial account. The author left several entry doors wide open - which can all be comprehended if one can be applied a certain component to the storyline. This teacher, who came out of nowhere - and who disappeared equally quickly as he had come - acted very strangely in the existence of the fantastic detective. His very words and his types of speech all seem to betray a startling truth about him, and his real marriage with the detective. There is an uncomfortable attitude between the two men which gone far deeper than just detective and unlawful. Why was this so, and why did not the author expound upon this unpleasant strangeness? If you re-read the initial storyline, after considering that one great change I make in their real relationship, even the initial tone of their original chat actually is practical, now... This slight spin upon the storyline could very well have been the definite truth, and it really ties up a lot of loose ends, for which the great article writer was so well-known for leaving lying about!
