Whenever we released the first issue of The Octopus as an audiobook, of course you requested more. This ultra-rare 1939 pulp magazine was a Strange Menace extravaganza called following its villain, with the nominal hero operating in not two, but three identities fighting him every step of just how. For reasons that remain recondite, the second issue of The Octopus was retitled The Scorpion. Along with the sinister supervillain was renamed. Often, the magazine was a direct continuation of the prior incarnation, with the new head of the Purple Eyes Cult attempting to force NY to knuckle under his iron rule through terror and intimidation. Only the Skull Killer could endure him. For yes, unfortunately, this is actually the end of the short but bloody job of Jeffrey Fairchild, who also performed good as ghetto medico Dr. Skull and by nights run as the scourge of the underworld, the Skull Killer, stamping a grisly death's at once the foreheads of his deceased, defeated enemies. Now, metal yourself for this hair-raising sequel by the stressed but usually very in a position Michael C. Gwynne. For as vicious and diabolically over-the-top as the Octopus was, the Scorpion is far, a lot more sinister. Here, he changes entire families into soulless, bloodthirsty maniacs.... Also included are three unusual novelettes: William Hines' Evil in a Wine glass Jar, Donald Dale's Vendetta for the Deceased, and Wyatt Blassingame's The Corroding Loss of life. The Skull Killer hits again!
