First written in 1904, the primary narrative and word of this extremely fascinating and uncommon memoir accounts - a "travel account" - is by Marie E Duncumb. Marie notes: "We were much later than we likely to be getting to Sandy Hook, the reason being that we needed to steam plenty of miles further south than we otherwise should have done to avoid the icebergs."
