Pavel Vassilyevitch sees himself ending up in an unwanted visitor one day after meal, an odd woman beseeching him to provide him only a fifty percent hour of his time. Madam Murashkin wants Pavel to critique a play that she's written before she cause on the voyage, and insists it will take only a fifty percent hour of his time. Struggling to deny her relentless pitiful pleas, Pavel gives in and Madam Murashkin launches into her play - which works out to take much longer than half an hour to get through. Pavel sees himself struggling to focus on the woman's play, but she does not seem to note. Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) was a Russian copy writer and playwright, considered by many to be one of the best writers of short stories in the history of books. Chekhov was also an effective doctor, but writing was his true enthusiasm. He was quoted as saying "Remedies is my lawful wife and books is my mistress."
