As he come to the first step, he used his torch again, looking for trip wires, but didn't see any. He began slowly and deliberately climbing the stairs. One step nearer, and he observed a pile of sticks of dynamite. He do the math and realized that if they gone off, there wouldn't be anything still left of the home, and certainly not of him. He started to sweat as he needed another step, slowly and gradually, because just then he observed that the lots of of dynamite was relaxing together with a more substantial drum. He was at an unusual position climbing the stairs, so he couldn't see the whole drum from where he was. When he needed the next phase, he could see the whole drum, and the writing onto it: ammonia fertilizer. It wasn't the drum, but what he observed at the bottom of the drum on the landing that made fear and panic take hold of him: a timer, ticking off with a few seconds still left. He clicked on his headset and yelled, "Everybody down!" and as he finished his word, a fireball arrived of the basement window and almost every other window in the house almost at the same time. Within seconds, the whole house came apart. From the previous tick on the timer to the initial explosion, Kelly considered his wife and kids, and less than another later, he was vaporized.
