Dick Young is lent a house in Cornwall by his good friend Professor Magnus Lane. During his stay he agrees to serve as a guinea pig for a fresh drug that Magnus has learned in his scientific research. When Dick samples Magnus' potion, he confirms himself doing the impossible: going through time while residing in place, thrown all the way back to Medieval Cornwall.
