I have found poetry to be a wonderfully spiritual way for me to commune with God, and it concerns not whether I am writing the poems, or simply reading them; a noiseless serenity comes over me during those times that is a great comfort to my spirit. I commenced my writings more than 30 years ago during a amount of time in my life once i was struggling to sleep well at night because of a painful back. As a result, throughout the night time, I would have to get up to use a warming pad to get alleviation. It was during this time period in my own life which i began to read the Bible, which subsequently led me to get started writing poetry. I have found the Holy Bible to be most effective in motivating ideas and have also been relocated to write some of my poems just by the look of a lovely sunrise or sunset, a pile view, or simply just a word, a word, or a scene will pop into my head at times while I'm training. Many ideas attended to me in my own sleep and at those times I am compelled to get up and go to my computer or even to get a pencil and newspaper to jot the theory down before it is ignored.
