When Sandra Leigh was seven years old, she fell in to the role of protector of her mom and three youthful siblings. One winter nighttime, she ushered her mom out of our home during one of her father's tirades, and then snuck her back to the dark home by using a windowpane. Sandra was used to happenings like these; what she wasn't used to were the mountains and dynamics surrounding her new home in Western Virginia. Lifted in the city, it took some time to get used to the long, hot summer time days and times, but she soon discovered that the forests, waterways, and mountains were better and comforting than the house that performed her abusive and volatile dad. Catching minnows in the soothing river, riding on rope swings, and checking out the outdoors distracted her from what was ready at home. But then, her mom became pregnant again, and Sandra's matter for her family and their well-being grew when her mom returned home from a healthcare facility without the baby. In Two 1000 Minnows, Sandra shows on the happenings of her child years and adolescence, including the time spent vacationing across the country with her troubled, worn-out family in a little, cramped car. As Sandra grows up more aged, she realizes that what they're chasing after when they move from town to town the perfect, stable life cannot exist, at least for her, until she's the answers to all or any the questions she never asked. As an adult, Sandra decides to stop running from days gone by and instead revisit it, refusing to give up until she unearths the truth and locates the sister who never arrived home.
