Don't Mean Nuthin' tells the storyplot of Frank Morgan, a college grad increased on army self-control who commences his career as a Phoenix Program assassin in Vietnam thinking in his country. The attempted murder of Morgan by his CIA key, a swashbuckling midget cowboy known as Comer, who wears metallic spurs on his boots, commences Morgan's metamorphosis into an avenging assassin not for work with by the US war machine. Morgan teams with a Montagnard scout, Luong, plus they visit a vintage comrade who have adopted a Vietnamese boy. During their stay the community is attacked, leaving Morgan and Luong as really the only guardians. While moving through the bush with the child and Luong or during the night, seeing the Southern Mix, one of Morgan's pastimes is to create characters he never mails to his parents and draft imaginary articles for Actors and Stripes. Don't Mean Nuthin' is filled with testimonies in the design of Tim O'Brien and Michael Herr. The book captures the setting of the country melting in napalm ooze and anecdotes grunts used to survive the insanity - all don't mean nuthin'.
