1917. American young boys have joined the fantastic War in European countries. Hilda Lessing's family has been break up apart because of the loss of life of her daddy, and her uncle has found her employment doing housework on the friend's plantation. Hilda's life on the Schwartz plantation is a misery. She toils from dawn to dusk and her employers and the farmhands are crude. Tired and hopeless, she involves recognize that the menace that seems to surround her includes their arrangements to inflate a near by railroad bridge. Now on the alert, the ingenious girl makes ideas to thwart them. Hilda might not be considered a soldier but she can still deal with on her behalf country! She has one huge benefit: none of them knows that she is completely fluent in German and can understand every phrase they say....
