Download The Five Keys to Mindful Communication: Using Deep Listening and Mindful Speech to Strengthen Relationships, Heal Conflicts, and Accomplish Your Goals AudioBook Free
Good communiation is essential to any healthy relationship, be it between spouses, family members, friends, or co-workers. On this publication Susan Chapman, a relationship and family therapist and a longtime yoga teacher, points out how mindfulness can be brought to bear in the manner we speak and pay attention to the other person so that people can bolster our relationships and better accomplish our goals. Pulling on Buddhist rules and on her training as a psychotherapist, Chapman points out how the practice of mindfulness - learning to become fully present in as soon as - makes it possible for us to listen more deeply to others and to develop greater clarity and confidence about how exactly to react. Chapman highlights five key elements of mindful communication: silence, mirroring, encouraging, discerning, and responding, and she dedicates a chapter of the publication to each. Other subject areas include determining your communication habits and practices; uncovering the invisible doubts that often sabotage communication; keeping yourself open in the midst of difficult conversations so that people can respond prudently and skillfully; and learning how conscious communication can help us to be more truthful, compassionate, and flexible in our associations.
