Ronald Wilson Reagan (Feb 6, 1911-June 5, 2004) was an American professional and politician. He was the 40th leader of the United States (1981-'89) and dished up as the 33rd governor of California (1967-'75) before his presidency. As leader, Reagan put in place sweeping new politics and economical initiatives. His supply-side economical plans, dubbed "Reaganomics", advocated reducing duty rates to spur economical growth, controlling the amount of money supply to lessen inflation, deregulation of the overall economy, and reducing government spending. In his first term, he survived an assassination look at, took a difficult line against labor unions, escalated the Warfare on Drugs, and bought an invasion of Grenada to reverse a Communist coup.
