When God wished to act on his assurance to save the globe, he started with a family group and provided them a quest. He spoke to Abram and his home, and they became a family group on quest. We see Jesus functioning just as, gathering an extended-family-like band of disciples around himself before getting into his quest. Jesus needed a family group on mission. In the Trinity the unity of God is indicated in a variety of persons, meaning at the very center of God's dynamics is family on quest. And therefore God's preferred mode of operation has always been family on quest. Actually discipleship doesn't actually work apart from the context of a family group on quest. Without that surface discipleship becomes programmatic and mechanised, not necessarily producing people who have the type and competency of Jesus. The glad tidings are that today, Jesus, our Brother and Ruler, is attempting to empower us to live a life as covenant young families caught up in kingdom quest. It seems that the Holy Nature is moving us from the damaging dichotomy of family or quest, where we can do only 1 or the other, from the band-aid fix of family and quest, where we keep them different and manage boundaries and margins, toward the designed life of family on quest, where we wholeheartedly adopt being part of your covenant community and with those people play our part in God's kingdom quest. This audiobook is about our journey in leading a family group on quest and a deep check out how Jesus built his family on quest in the Gospels; it also includes practical approaches for growing as a family group on quest, imitating Jesus and his disciples.
