If, following a great have difficulty, the East were to prevail over the world, what sort of civilization would be enforced by the victors? Would it not be an oriental version of the societies we know - or might the fantastic old culture be superimposed after what was left of Western technology? The storyplot is set in a postapocalyptic future where global civilization is governed by the hierarchical, religious world centered around opinion in karmic-based reincarnation metaphorically considered continue or backward on the turning steering wheel. The society offered is class driven, seemingly with Caucasians ("Caucs") in the bottom and Asians and Native Americans at the top. Above all is the god/messiah, the Bard "Elron Hu" (in other words, "Elron Hu, Bard"), whose religious plan will involve one becoming "clear" - an apparent jab at L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics, the self-help book that were released a couple of years before.
