In this disturbing exposé, journalist Paul L. Williams identifies a hidden knowledge alliance forged at the close of World Conflict II by the CIA, the Sicilian and US mafias, and the Vatican to thwart the probability of an Communist invasion of Europe. Williams presents information suggesting the presence, in many European countries, of "stay-behind" products consisting of 5,000 to 15,000 armed forces operatives. The original financing for these guerrilla armies originated from bogus British bank notes and the sale of large stocks and options of SS morphine that had been smuggled out of Germany and Italy. As the Cold Conflict intensified, the products were used not and then ward off possible invaders but also to thwart the rise of left-wing movements in SOUTH USA and NATO-based countries by terror attacks. Williams argues that Operation Gladio soon provided rise to the toppling of government authorities, wholesale genocide, the forming of fatality squads, financial scandals over a grand scale, the creation of the mujahideen, a global narcotics network, and, most recently, the ascendancy of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, a Jesuit cleric with strong ties to Operation Condor (an outgrowth of Gladio in Argentina) as Pope Francis I.
