Do No Injury is neurosurgeon Henry Marsh's memoir, with a particular give attention to his flaws and regrets. Marsh admits that he was raised privileged. He started his college profession studying English, but quit university due to a unrequited love. He required a job employed in a mining town hospital, an experience that motivated him to become surgeon. He went back to Oxford to finish his level and then attended the Royal Free Medical School in London, the one medical school at that time that didn't require him to possess any scientific requirements. Like a medical university student, Marsh did the trick as a medical associate on the psycho-geriatric ward of a long term psychiatric hospital. There he observed many patients who was simply given lobectomies at a healthcare facility where he would later teach. Lobectomies were an accepted method of treating severe mental disorders, but would often leave the individual worse off than they were before.
