Clarence Rimbro owns the entire world Earth. This is no great fulfillment as, a large number of years in our future, anyone can do it. You can find an infinite number of possible Earths, each existing in its own parallel world. If the chance of life arising on any one of them is about 50 percent, then half enough time a random choice of a parallel world will lead to a lifeless Earth. Since there are always a trillion people moving into this time, it would be almost impossible to allow them to go on one Earth, so each family creates its house and garden, protected by a push field and jogging on solar power, on a lifeless Earth. Clarence looks forward to total independence for his family, and a whole planet's worthy of of liveable space. As you may still find an infinite number of lifeless Earths, they can't ever be filled up, and no one is concerned about the population becoming two trillion in 50 years or so.
