When talking about Israel and its own long record of issue, the emotions are so charged and, for most, the stakes are so high that even participating in a simple talk about the topic can end up like running a marathon of endlessly heated ideas and never-ending historical perspectives. In revealing this storyline, I am not thinking about taking any area. I simply want to share the storyline of how one small region and a little group of folks experienced the tenacity and courage to defy the odds and preserve an ancient culture that has become the epicenter of not just conflict but religion, philosophy and individual society all together. Because Israel has added so much to all of us; that which was once just an Israeli culture has grown to become what is, more often than not, an inherited world culture. As the scriptures guaranteed to Abraham, "I will make your descendants many as the dust particles of the planet earth; if anyone could count the dust upon the ground, then he could count your descendants;" (Genesis 13:16) I assume that this scripture does indeed hold true. Because the whole globe has indeed benefited and been greatly affected from the powerful practices and thought that have reverberated from Israel throughout record. Since the days and nights of the Covenant that was made out of Abraham in the desert, we have all become great inheritors of this traditions. With an inheritance that is really as many as the dust particles of the planet earth. Many great and wonderful things have come out of Israel and its own people and the world would not be the same without it.
