Since 1992, I have worked with young adults, youth, and families in several capacities, and I couldn't require a better profession. Visualize, if you will, the satisfaction that comes from helping a adult can get on a path to success. As the life coach on the show, I helped an 18-year-old senior high school senior find out what she was most passionate about so she could choose a school major and profession. From teaching and training to speaking and mentoring, I have possessed the honor of reaching practically four million youths and teachers from all over THE UNITED STATES and student market leaders representing more than 48 different countries. It has been just magnificent and rewarding, meaningful and fulfilling.I love teens and how they keep it real. In a heartbeat they'll read you and without hesitation tell you what they think and what they want and expect that success will be greeting them within a couple of years. While the goal to be successful is there, one major obstacle must be defeat. Somebody must teach them the essential principles for achieving success or how to determine what success or purpose means to them as productive members of a community within our society. This is who I am!In some cases I feel that we, as role models and mentors to youths, mislead them: Head to school, you'll figure out how to achieve success. Although school is very important and plays a very significant role in one's success, I really do believe there is more to living a life than simply going to college. Education is a big little bit of the puzzle in creating a successful life, but there are other pieces to that puzzle that are essential to reach professional and personal success.The other pieces are contained in what I call the Roadways of LIFE or the other aspect of EDUCATION. Certain skills that are essential, such as admiration, responsibility, setting up goals, defining an objective, managing money and time, choosing a profession, overcoming hurdles, and making the right alternatives, are really important, not to mention frame of mind, role models, self-respect, and the knowledge of others. All of those ingredients build after the educational foundation provided by an academic institution, whether it is middle school, senior high school, school or a college or university.I have written this e book predicated on my experiences dealing with MTV and moreover, my passion for dealing with teens and children. This book will offer teenagers advice, predicated on my judgment and experiences in life, and provide a highway map for leading a purposeful and incredibly successful life. More so than anything, this e book teaches teenagers the essential principles for being successful in the REAL WORLD and on the STREET.
