Download Skinned Knees and Elbows: A Nostalgic Look at the Games We Played as Children Growing Up in Simpler Times AudioBook Free
A semi-autobiographical retrospective of the childhood games typically played out at school in the united kingdom during the 1970s and 1980s, times much different than today... WHEN I produce this e book, I find myself fast approaching my 50th birthday. Recover milestone coming, it offers made me somewhat nostalgic about the "old times" when i required my formative steps into this world during the 1970s and 1980s in the united kingdom. Life was simpler in the past in lots of ways: there was no Internet, no smartphones, no Tweets, no Facebook, no interpersonal media, no consoles. At home and at college, you made your own fun using your imagination. There were all sorts of games we would play to entertain ourselves and learn about life and human relationships while we were at it - true to life human relationships and friendships. I find myself looking back again on those times increasingly more today. So in retrospect I wrote this book. I needed to reflect back again on those times and that means you can reminisce with me, or perhaps discover childhood game titles for the first time. Minor injuries were not uncommon. Skinned knees and elbows often experienced a fall playing soccer, or perhaps finger, thumb, or rusty bum. So that's where my title comes from. Here are some of the innocent (or perhaps some not innocent) game titles from my childhood you will hear about:
- Marbles
- Disguise and Seek
- United kingdom Bulldogs
- Hopscotch
- Hoop and Remain
