In this realization of the Magic University or college series, Kyle starts his senior calendar year full of hesitation. For his junior thesis, he made a new translation of an ancient prophecy he believed to be about himself and his true love. Now other people are starting to believe it, too, as the signs or symptoms of the Using up Days appear to be everywhere: people sacrificing their magic, odd storms, and earthquakes. But although Kyle has many adoring friends and keen acquaintances, he does not have any true love in sight. Really the only person in Kyle's heart and soul is Frost, and the last time they laid eyes on one another, Frost punched Kyle in the face and teleported him halfway across Cambridge. Kyle starts to trust, though, when Frost moves back to the dormitory, and it seems they'll even be in a class collectively. A poetry class. Maybe Frost will learn to thaw after all. That would be a very important thing, since if the prophecy talks true, the globe will end if Kyle doesn't find true love. Our hero will need love to save the globe, his friends, and himself from sacrificing magic forever.
