Yancy Lazarus is having an awful day: which bullet lodged in his butt cheek, his face looks like the site of any demolition derby, and he's been saran-wrapped to a banquet desk. Sure, he can do a little magic - maybe even more than only a little magic - but he is aware of enough to keep his mind down and stay clear of freaky-deaky hoodoo such as this business in LA. Somehow though, he's been setup to take a real bad semester - the type of very permanent semester that leaves a man with a feet tag. That's unless, of course, he will get out who's accountable for the gangland murders, make tranquility in the midst of the gang feud, and takeout said magical dark mage before he hexes Yancy into an early on retirement.
