The dispatch handled down and the flaring rockets perished. There was only the click of air conditioning material from the dispatch: no one emerged, nor did any of the Pyrrans seem to be interested enough in the newcomer to treat it. That must imply that no one acquired any business with it, and, of course, no curiosity either, for this along with thoughts is at very short resource on the war-torn entire world. Since no one else was making any moves, Jason went onward to research for himself. A stingwing that acquired escaped the perimeter guards dived towards him and he blasted it automatically along with his firearm. The corpse thudded to the bottom and the land churned around it as the insectile scavengers fought for the flesh; only bare bone fragments remained by enough time he had taken two paces.
