Snow White and Red Rose is a German fairy tale compiled by Brothers Grimm.
Snow White and Red Rose are two little girls coping with their mother, a poor widow, in a little cottage. They are very good little girls, they love each other dearly, and their mom is very keen on them. Dark-haired Red Rose is outspoken and cheerful and wants to play outdoor. Fair-haired Snow White is noiseless and timid and prefers doing housework and reading.
One winter nights, there's a knock at the entranceway. Rose Red opens the door to discover a bear. At first, she actually is terrified, however the bear explains to her not to hesitate. "I'm half iced and I merely want to warm up just a little at your house," he says. They allow carry in, and he is down before the fire.
Snow White and Red Rose defeat the snow off of the bear, and they quickly become quite friendly with him. They play with the carry and spin him around playfully. They allow bear spend the night before the fire. In the morning, he leaves trotting out in to the woods. The carry comes back every evening for the others of this winter and the family grows up used to him.
When summer time comes, the carry explains to them that he must disappear completely for some time to protect his treasure from a wicked dwarf. During the summer, when the girls are walking through the forest, they find a dwarf whose beard is caught in a tree. The girls rescue him by reducing his beard free, however the dwarf is ungrateful and yells at them for reducing his beautiful beard.
The women encounter the dwarf many times that summer, rescue him from some peril every time and the dwarf is ungrateful every time. Then one day, they meet the dwarf once again. This time, he's terrified because the carry is going to eat him...
