Nicodemus is a, gifted wizard with problems. Magic in his world requires the caster to set-up spells by writing down the written text...but he is definitely dyslexic and therefore has trouble casting even the simplest of spells. And his misspells could establish dangerous, even dangerous, should he make a blunder in an important incantation. Yet he has always thought that he's destined to be something more than a failed wizard. Whenever a powerful, ancient evil begins a marketing campaign of murder and disruption, Nicodemus starts off to have disturbing dreams that lead him to believe that his misspelling may be the consequence of a curse. But before he is able to discover the fact about himself, he's attacked by an evil that has recently stated the lives of fellow wizards and has cast suspicion on his coach.
