Tristan Green still left his small British town for Manhattan and employment at a high-profile advertisement agency, but can't seem to be to find his bearings. He spends a lot of time working late at night, eating and sleeping alone, and much more time meandering around his community staring in to the darkened windows of shops. One night time when he's sense suprisingly low, he wanders by a lovely little bakery with the lighting still on. The baker invites him in, and sometime throughout that night time Tristan realizes it's the first time he's really smiled in a few months. Henry Livingston is definitely the peculiar duck, the dark-colored sheep, the baker in an old money family where pedigree is everything and quirky personalities are concealed behind dry out martinis and solid Upper East Aspect townhouse facades. Henry is attracted to Tristan's easy country appeal, dry British wit, and exactly what is so different from Henry's world. Their new love is all buttercream frosting and sugared violets until Tristan's need to fit in at work makes him take action he desperately desires he could undo. Tristan must persuade Henry that he is able to be respected again before they can indulge in the sweet products they're both craving.
