The Noble Eightfold Course is one of the main teachings in Buddhism. On this series of eight lectures, given at first in 1965, Urgyen Sangharakshita introduces each stage, from right understanding to right yoga, explaining the deeper implications involved. Sangharakshita, the London-born Buddhist professor, is one of the very most influential figures in the introduction of Buddhism in the Western. The creator of the Triratna Buddhist Order(originally called the American Buddhist Order), he sought to attract on all the Buddhist practices and create a new synthesis with particular relevance to modern American society - a view that underpins his coaching of the Dharma. This groundbreaking series of lectures was given in London in 1965 and is presented here in a newly perfected recording which includes handled many - though not absolutely all - the extraneous noises. It remains one of the clearest and most immediate accounts of the Buddha's Noble Eightfold Course.
