There's a way of realizing that may take you beyond where all your learning has considered you. It is the way of immediate experience of truth. It is the way of the center. It might be astonishing to listen to that there surely is a continuation of A Course in Miracles, but it is true. Forty years ago, Jesus dictated ACIM to the scribe Helen Schucman. More recently, over three years, he similarly dictated A Span of Love to Mari Perron. Mari Perron is the channel. Students of ACIM will discover the tone of voice. Students of truth, whatever their track record, will find that ACOL resonates with the center. A Span of Love was received and at first publicized in three different sections, or books: The Course, The Treatises, and The Dialogues. This is reserve one, The Course. In A Span of Love, Jesus says: "This time around we have a direct approach, an approach that seems initially to leave behind abstract learning and the sophisticated mechanisms of your brain that so betray you. We have a step from intellect, the delight of the ego, and plan this last learning through the world of the center. This is why, to end misunderstanding, we call this program A Span of Love." (Prelude.44) ACIM and ACOL are complementary; the same tone of voice, Jesus, or the Christ consciousness, but more accessible; the same thought system, extended. He emphasizes the value of being wholehearted. Wholeheartedness is mind and center working mutually, with the center leading the way or providing information to your brain, which contributes to wonders and revelation. A channeled work, ACOL is not about increasing one's life, but about un-doing the ties that bind us to what it phone calls the "house of illusion". In ACOL, were gently led to awaken, step by adoring step. We find ourselves in the endless, eternal field of our very own awareness, laughing and crying at the glory of what is.
