Poland 1939. After Nazi Germany conquers the Polish army in only over fourteen days, and one Jewish family battle for survival begins. Like the remaining once thriving Jewish community, all of them are required to leave there beautiful home in Warsaw, and into the slums of the ghettos. Inside these walled places disease and hunger are rife, which is a daily part of ghetto life. However despite of all degradation, the family settles to their new surroundings, and they take solace as they remain as a family. After several years of living this life, their world is again tossed into chaos, when purchases are received to "liquidate" the ghettos. Isaac and his kid Jacob throughout their "normal" day are rounded up, as will be the other individuals and residences, by the ruthless and barbaric Nazi plan. To Isaac and Jacob's horror, they helplessly stand and watch as Isaac's partner Judith, and their baby child Eve; are torn from them, and recinded, into a life of slavery. Isaac and Jacob are also rounded up, their fate already chose, is one of the unfamiliar. After several hours aboard a crammed cattle coach, they reach their destination. They are actually two prisoners among thousands of their own people at the Nazi's most notorious awareness camps, which they now know to be Auschwitz. They are soon put to work, disposing of the countless subjects, who've been brutally murdered by the Nazi's. Although after being a part of the most harrowing and vile procedures, Isaac and eventually Jacob are luckily reprieved, and be part of the commandant personal personnel at his fastened villa, just a few meters from the camp itself. Here they meet Mary another Jew, and housekeeper to the commandant Rudolph Höss. All three form an in depth relationship, and perform their obligations to the best of their skills.
