Alice Walshe has led a very charmed life, until now. Twenty years following a pandemic crippled the country, things are finally back again on the right track and her daddy, a significant player at real estate large Cerulean Holdings, has made billions renewing the wallets of urban decay which were left out. As his protégé, she has accompanied him to one such area named Ypsilanti Bloc, a particularly valuable site because of its proximity to a significant flourishing city. When their airship is attacked by Ypsilanti's biggest militia, however, Alice and her brother, Cody, only scarcely escape and finish up as the only real survivors of the crash. Alice emerges from the drop dispatch to find herself stuck in the Bloc that her daddy was meant to re-purpose - a ruined city that militias, gangs, and even cannibals now call home. She actually is discovered by a pair of teens who've monitored the wreck hoping to scavenge anything useful, and with few options available to her, she uses their help to find her brother and get home. Things grow more difficult, however, when she realizes that the harm might not have been random, and this Cerulean's renewal job might not be as benign as she have been brought up to believe.
