A descendant of Nathan Bedford Forrest's slaves, Al Arnold, tells his voyage of embracing his Confederate traditions. His ancestor, Turner Hall, Jr., a Black colored Confederate, offered as a body servant for just two Confederate soldiers and an orderly for Gen. Robert E. Lee. Turner Hall, Jr., was celebrated by Blacks and Whites in his community. Hall went to the previous Civil War reunion at Gettysburg in 1938. He was interviewed by the countrywide discussion radio show, "We, The People". This is a personal voyage of faith, traditions, race, and family twisted around the grace of God through the eye and honest thoughts of a modern Black colored man. Arnold argues for African People in america to embrace Confederate heritage to capture the enriched Black background of the Civil War age. He bestows dignity and honor on his Confederate ancestor and issues the traditional thoughts of modern African People in america. Arnold rests in his trust as the uniting push that reconciles our bright colored past to your bright future.
