I first critiqued Ken Wilber on his misunderstanding of evolution back in 1996, right after his book A Brief Record of Everything was publicized. It has been 18 years and if anything, Wilber has become even more solidly entrenched in his new brand of creationism, which ironically mimics a lot of what Religious fundamentalists subject to about Darwinianism. And Wilber doesn't have to look much for alternative ideas about how precisely the universe happened (see Stephen Hawking's Grand Design or Sean Carroll's From Eternity to Here for starters) without resorting to Eros forcing Chaos aside in a atom so that it can partner with others and create anew. Yes, we can debate the merits of evolution and astrophysics in striving to understand how the world and life happened. But in so doing, it's important to accurately present the quarrels we oppose. Wilber shows a inclination to abdicate that responsibility in his rush to drive his creationist agenda. By doing this, and by avoiding the important criticisms of Frank Visser among others, Wilber continues to tarnish his intellectual reputation. This publication contains a series of essays examining Ken Wilber's views on evolution and intelligent design.
