At the heart of the Haute Vienne region of France, there's a village some 10 kilometres from Limoges. The name of the village is Oradour sur Glane. For the 10th of June, 1944, this quaint village was the picture of an barbaric massacre, at the hands of the evil Nazis. Over 150 heavily equipped SS soldiers came into this peaceful village and curved up 642 men, women, and children. After experiencing false studies that these were part of the resistance movement, upon requests, these vile men systematically murdered these innocent civilians, with few survivors! Before fleeing the picture, they torched the village, so that they can remove the atrocities. Under requests of France's Basic de Gaulle, the remains of the village have been conserved, as a reminder of what occurred on that fateful day.
