Instead of taking a look at whatever we think autism is, we will jump into a whole new area! Change how you view and take care of autism permanently! We will look at the many common misconceptions of autism. I'm going to be discussing a few of the techniques that I've used on my four-year-old autistic son, Justin. He was 3 years old, about a month before his fourth birthday. I needed looked everything I understood how to find, and I came across lots of information on defining autism as well as the symptoms of autism. What I couldn't find was much how to handle or treat it, apart from, "Take him to a professional." I totally concur that autistic children need professional remedy and services. For me personally, what was absent was a means I could use him one-on-one. A way I possibly could break through the unseen barrier that encircled him, and pull him out. I learned exactly how to do that with Justin. Through writing my struggles, failures, and successes, I hope to offer hope to those who find themselves parents or caregivers who've children with autism.
