Phoning All Automobiles was a popular crime drama heard from 1933 to 1939. Among radio's earliest & most durable law enforcement officials procedural shows, the series' stark and gritty realism is firmly reminiscent of Warner Brothers' gangster motion pictures of the 1930s - especially with the presence of real-life LAPD dispatcher Jesse Rosenquist, whose unique voice and name became the show's hallmark. Rosenquist contributed to the North american lexicon the program's name and the now time-honored key phrase "that is all". Nothing of the stars on the series ever before received on-air credit, but sharp-eared radio enthusiasts can hear the likes of Elvia Allman, Jackson Beck, Charles Bickford, Gale Gordon, John Bigson, Richard LeGrand, and Hanley Stafford. Episodes include: "Murder in Basin Streets", "The Crimson Crusader", "The Two-Edged Knife", "Fatality in the Forenoon", "The Case of the Bloodstained Gold coin", "The Case of the Phantom Radio", "The Bad Man", "The Skeleton in the Desert", "THE OVERALL Kills at Dawn", "The Shanghai Jester", "The Sands of the Desert", "The Buccane".
