In June 2010, Paul Laubach made the unfortunate decision to experiment with all of Golfing Magazine's top 100 golfing courses open to the public. Pass on over 45 calendar months, he were able to complete his goal despite numerous weather, course maintenance, and other logistical issues...not to mention his own "mature second". The journey covered 87,814 air mls and another 17,051 by auto. Through the trek, he suffered two frozen shoulders, a bad lower back, golfer's elbow (kept), lateral epicondylitis (right), three major sunburns, a huge selection of mosquito bites, poison oak, plus numerous cuts and bruises chasing errant shots in to the woods, desert, and other prickly flora. Nothing of the was as agonizing as the price associated with burning off 117 Expert V1s. A confirmed golfing addict and cheapskate, he is now chronicling his ventures for his heirs (who will probably get little or nothing else, as he squandered the estate upon this boondoggle).
