William considered how anyone was likely to battle slavery. In the end, Ruler George III and the Chapel of Great britain both had large amounts of money invested in trade with the Western Indies. And a sizable number of bishops sat in the House of Lords. William shook his brain. This was a much bigger attack than he believed capable of taking on. For 200 years British slave boats plied the Middle Passage, taking African men, women, and children with their doom. Concluding slavery in the mighty English Empire appeared like an impossible dream, but once William Wilberforce resolved to stand for the abolitionists in Parliament, he'd combat to the bitter end - for practically half a century - for doing that goal. Together with a community of energetic reformers, Wilberforce struggled to rid his region of evil and give dignity and freedom to all or any people - slave and slave investor, poor and powerful. His example continues to inspire others to work with their products and effect to do good against the chances. (1759-1833).
