Given birth to as Anthony J. Mahavoric, Tony Robbins got into this world on Feb 29, 1960, in North Hollywood, California. As the oldest sibling in a family of three children, Tony learned from a age to show leadership and solve problems on his own rather than seeking higher expert. Tony's leadership was tested when he was only seven after his parents divorced. With Tony's mom being forced to work extended hours, she was unable to care for the kids as they needed. Tony filled up this position while his mom was at work. Along with being truly a single father or mother, Tony's mom was dependent on drugs and alcohol, leading to much physical maltreatment inflicted on Tony and his siblings. For this reason, Tony says he became a psychiatrist before he even graduated senior high school. Though not formally accepted with a PhD, Tony learned to be always a keen judge of human behavior and feelings simply as a way to make it through his mother's maltreatment. Pursuing his parent's divorce, Tony's mom dated and married several men, but infidelity and impatience business lead to divorce after divorce. One of these husbands, Jim Robbins, used to be always a semi-professional football player. Sensing Tony needed more than a father figure but rather a true dad, Jim legally used Tony when Tony was 12 years old. Jim's times of football were over, however, and he was forced to take up sales as a way to provide income. Because this work was not particularly flourishing at that time, Jim's paychecks scarcely covered the expenses, forcing the family to sacrifice celebrating Holiday and Thanksgiving for insufficient a savings account.
